Tom's Survival
On March 20th, 2007 in the Ontario, California airport, a 49-year old Utah man, suffered a massive heart attack that led to sudden cardiac arrest. Luckily, a woman nearby noticed his physical distress and called 911 as well as summoned airport security to assist him. Thankfully, he recognized his symptoms as a heart attack — sweating profusely, extreme discomfort, dizziness and nausea. Soon after, he suffered sudden cardiac arrest. As a result, he was defibrillated and arrived at a local hospital where he received advanced care.

Because of the quick action of the bystander, the paramedics excellent care, and the expertise of the medical professionals in the hospital, my husband is here today. I am happy to report that Tom is doing well and has returned to all the activities he enjoys, paragliding, biking, boating and camping, to name a few.

I have been instructing CPR for over 15 years, I couldn't of imagined it would effect my own life so closely. I know that training CPR and AED skills to citizens can save lives and so does Tom!
